Amateur Radio License Testing

License testing coordinated by the Treasure Valley Radio Association.

Testing for all classes of amateur radio operator licenses will be conducted on
Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Convention site.

Here's your chance to obtain or upgrade your license!

Testing
Times
:
For your convenience in attending other convention activities, two test sessions will be conducted:
  • Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to Noon
  • Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Drop-ins are welcome; there is no pre-registration required to take a test.

Cost: The cost to take a test will be $15.

Required
Documents:
Candidates must present a legal photo identification. This requirement is usually met with a driver's license, but it can be a passport or other legal identification card with the candidate's photo on it.

When no photo ID is available, the candidate must present any two of the following:
• Non-photo ID/driver's license (some states still have them);
• Social Security Card;
• Birth certificate (must have the appropriate seal);
• Minor's work permit, school report card, school ID card or library card;
• Utility bill, bank statement or other business correspondence that specifically names the person; or
• Postmarked envelope addressed to the person at his or her current mailing address as it appears on the FCC Form 605.

For upgrades:  If you are already licensed and are upgrading, you will need to bring a photocopy of your license to turn in with your test results.

Questions: If you have questions about amateur radio operator license testing,
